Local News Take a look at what happening in Seligor's Castle and Diddily's Dreamland

Baby's Boat

Baby's boat's the silver moon,
Sailing in the sky,
Sailing o'er the sea of sleep,
While the clouds float by.
Sail, baby, sail, out upon that sea,
Only don't forget to sail back again to me...

Back again to me.

Baby's fishing for a dream,
Fishing near and far,
His line a silver moonbeam is,
His bait a silver star.
Sail, baby, sail, out upon that sea,
Only don't forget to sail back again to me...

Back again to me.

news flash new additions to The Badgers of Fingles Wood xxx

Well that was it, the hustle and bustle of arranging all the class rooms began. The lighting was finished. The cave walls had been decorated and one of Uncle Cled's nephews from the lower sett came and painted beautiful murals over the classroom walls, some of them on boards even, they looked so real.

(Would you like to see them? This one is outside, do you all like it?
Uncle Willowdown did it for us, aren't we lucky xxx Immy.)

this is one of the classroom walls

Everything seemed to be going really well, Great Aunt Izzy made sure that Immy and Eddy were not overdoing things.
"I really can't think what we used to do all day before those two teenagers came here to live. Why even the youngest ones seem to be behaving themselves." She said to Mrs Clarissa Buck, "They just don't seem to get tired and yet I'm sure they talk half the night as well."
And so it was, always things to be done; paths to clear, the few odd trees to be felled to make access easier for the weasels and stoats who were coming to get through. It had taken Eddy and Immy quite a while to persuade even one of them to attend the school but something happened the Thursday before the school was to open on the Monday.
It was rather a cold day, there had been quiet a heavy fall of rain and all the paths were very slippery in parts. ......

Whoops look at the time, Diddily must go to bed now. See you all soon . xxx Diddily dee dot of Seligor's Castle

Row, Row, Row your boat gently down the Stream

Apart from finishing, putting all the images back on to the pages that were pinched by the Goblins again, it seems, I have also made a super new Video Picture Show from all the different contributions that appear on You Tube. I can never give to much praise to these wonderfully talented people, young and old who make all these wonderful shows.

http://www.youtube.com/cp/vjVQa1PpcFNTKiF4lXqb_No8uhnlgJxVgwv30XdXQhE=

As it happens these small songs all come from the same person Jorgembon, they are mainly in Spanish but if you know "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" in English the tune is the same in most languages. So sit back and enjoy, Diddily xxx

One For Sorrow . I don't think so xxx

One For Sorrow . I don't think so xxx

POOR JACKO

Once upon a summer morning
Master Jacko roamed around,
And, when no one else was looking,
Ventured on forbidden ground.

Said young Jacko, full of mischief,

"On Professor Jones I'll call;
If he's out it doesn't matter,
'Twill not trouble me at all.

'I have heard that in his study,
There are quaint and curious things.'
Swiftly through the open window
Naughty Master Jacko springs.

Looks around with eyes of wonder,
Peers at this and peers at that;
Suddenly he sees a figure,
And his heart goes pit-a-pat!

'If' quoth he, 'I'm not mistaken'
(Awed and frightened were his tones),
'Here is what was once a monkey,
Now a fearsome frame of bones.'

(Grew his eyes quite melancholic,
Gazing at the figure grim,)
'In the years to come I wonder,
Shall I ever look like him?

'Truly 'tis a room of marvels.
Would I care to stay? Oh,
I have seen enough this morning;
It is time for me to go.'

Beautiful Morning May 8th 2008

http://diddilydeedotsdreamland.zoomshare.com

Winter it seems has gone at last, yet it was only three weeks ago,
that I took some pictures of my girls, playing in the snow.
But as I watch them through the glass, lying on the sun.
I notice the garden beyond the steps and the beauty had never gone.
The columbine is flowering, the daffs have faded away,
but the primroses and violets have come back here to stay.
Through the summer time till autumn, everywhere will start to smell
of lavender and magnolia, fresh mint by the well.
It is strange how everything slots into place,
each colour replaces the next, each smell , each touch upon the fronds.
The reeds are tall beside the ponds, the tadpoles growing legs and arms.
Tis such a wondrous site to behold. On this a summers day.

new addition to Pastimes 4 U, new additions to Pastimes 4 U

PASTIMES 4 U
SCRAP BOOKS GALORE
[with help from "rubyglen.com" ]
You will soon be needing somewhere to put all those fanastic holiday snaps and you don't want them to get scruffy when all your friends view you holiday romances and disasters. So here is a simple Scrape Book to make:

1. You will need a ring folder with plastic inlays, then some medium thickness paper, no bigger than A4 so they fit in the plastic sleeves.

2. Mist the paper with a spray bottle filled with water very lightly and evenly on both sides.

3. Crumple the paper into a very tight ball.
The tighter the paper is crumpled, the more “waves” you will have. You
may have to re-crumple the page several times to get the desired
effect. Reopen paper, smooth it out with your hands, and lay it flat to
dry

4. When the paper has dried thoroughly, apply a drop of white stamp pad refill ink onto a cottonwool ball and brush lightly across paper – just enough to get the top edges of the wrinkles in the paper.
The result

should look like rippling water.

5. Once the ink has dried thoroughly, place the paper face down on an ironing board and place a cloth over
it. Turn the iron to a very low setting (I used the silk / rayonsetting) and iron the paper until it lays fairly flat. If you skip this step, you will have a hard time getting the glue or photo squares to
hold your pictures to the crumpled paper.

6. Use an interesting lettering style or a word processor to make a “Fun in the Sun” title block for the front page –
be creative! As most of us who use a PC have most of the materials to hand it is only the ring folder you need or one of those that is lying dormant. (mine are usually shoved under the bed)
